The 2014 Summer School “Cross Continental – Interethnic Relations for Peace” is to be held in Sarajevo, the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Sarajevo is known as the place where east meets west, where a truly multicultural and multiethnic spirit persists – Sarajevo is often called the European Jerusalem, making it particularly appealing for a comprehensive program offered to our international participants. Furthermore, 2014 marks the 100th year of the beginning of the WWI to be remembered with several peace events in Sarajevo. This Summer School will serve as an alternative to numerous other events and ceremonies to mark the happenings during the month of June. The city of Sarajevo will draw worldwide attention during this month where we want to take the opportunity of this occasion to promote peace and international cooperation. Hence, we have chosen this time for the Summer School to contribute to the commemorative event series
